"I really wanted these to work..."
I really wanted these to work for winter, but my feet got cold quickly, even with thick socks on. Because apparently keeping feet warm in winter is just too much to ask

"I bought these thinking they’d be solid..."
I bought these thinking they’d be solid and last me a while, but the stitching looked messy as soon as I took them out of the box. Then after only a few wears, the sole started looking uneven and one side felt kind of off when I walked. Maybe I just got a bad pair, but for what they cost, how is this okay? I really expected much better craftsmanship. Disappointing.

"Good-looking boots, but I expected more width options"
The boots looked nice when I got them, and I was hoping they’d work for me. But since I have wider feet, the fit just wasn’t comfortable. I expected there to be more width choices, especially for boots, but it seemed like they mostly had standard sizes. Kind of disappointing because otherwise they seemed fine...

"Kept my feet mostly dry"
Wore these out in the rain. They did fine for the most part. My feet stayed dry just walking around. But puddles? Not so much. Step in one a little too deep and yeah, you’ll feel it. Still decent for light rain though.

"Leather just feels cheap"
At first the boots looked fine, but once I actually wore them, the leather just felt cheap. It’s thin, it’s stiff, and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to hold up. After only a few wears, they were already creasing in a weird way. I kept thinking the leather felt off, and it really did. Not terrible looking, but the quality just isn’t what I was hoping for.

"Toe box is just a little snug"
The shoes are fine, really, but the toe area feels a bit tight. I was hoping for a little more room up front, because after wearing them for a while my toes definitely noticed. Not a huge deal, of course, just mildly frustrating.

I bought these to wear at work, mostly because I needed something that could handle wet floors. Unfortunately, they slide around way too much. I almost fell twice in the first week, which kind of defeats the whole purpose. They might be fine if everything is dry, but for a work shoe that’s supposed to be slip resistant, I just don’t... yeah, I wouldn’t buy them again.

I liked the look of it, but the sizing felt really off to me. It ran way too small, so I’d definitely size up if you’re thinking about getting it.

I know it might sound picky, but the website just looked kind of messy to me. If I’m spending money somewhere, I like the site to feel a bit more polished and trustworthy. Based on how it looked, I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying from there.

"Pretty solid boots for the price"
I’ve been wearing these boots for a bit now, and overall I’d say they’re definitely worth the money. They’re not perfect, the fit felt a little stiff at first, but that’s kind of expected with new boots, and they’ve gotten more comfortable with wear. For the price, I’m happy with them.

I ordered from mcraefootwear.com, and everything with the site and shipping was totally fine as far as I could tell. The boots showed up without any issues, so no complaints there.

The only thing I’m not completely sure about is the sizing. I ordered my usual size, but they felt a little bigger than I expected. Not so big that I can’t wear them, but just enough to be kind of frustrating. I’d maybe order from them again, but I’d probably double-check the sizing first

I really wanted these to work, but the break-in period has been way too painful. I’ve worn them for weeks now and they’re still rubbing my heels badly. At this point, it feels like more than just a normal adjustment period, and I’m disappointed. I’d like this looked into because they’re just not comfortable enough to keep wearing

These are good boots overall and feel well made. They’re just heavier than I expected, so I probably wouldn’t pick them for everyday wear. Still a solid pair if you don’t mind a little extra weight.

I ordered my boots from McRae Footwear and asked support a quick question before buying. They basically told me the insulation was solid for cold, wet weather, they weren’t wrong. I wore them out in cold rain for most of the day and my feet stayed warm the whole time. No complaints from me

"Stitching started coming apart way too soon"
The boots looked fine when I first got them, but after wearing them for a short while the stitching already started coming loose. For what they cost, I really expected them to hold up better. I also wasn’t happy that there didn’t seem to be any real person to talk to about it, just the usual automated stuff, which made the whole thing more frustrating. Disappointed and I wouldn’t buy another pair.

I had to return a pair from mcraefootwear.com because the sizing felt a little off for me. The process was straightforward, and I appreciated getting email updates along the way. The refund did take a few days longer than I was expecting, but it came through without any issues. Overall, it felt like they handled things the right way and treated the return fairly. "Solid boots, even in hot weather"
I wore my McRae boots all week in the heat, they did better than I expected. Impressive. My feet definitely got warm, because… boots in hot weather, obviously, but it wasn’t miserable. No rubbing, no funky smell after being outside all day, and they still felt good by the end of the week. Nice. Happy with them overall
